Together with the architect of AFAS live, we created this industrial white steel staircase. The stairs gives access to the VIP area of AFAS live.
Steel is actually ideal. It is one of the most durable materials that we can use to make a staircase. Steel has the nice quality that it does not wear out and can be reused.
The banisters and railing are subtle. The use of steel makes this possible because it is very strong in the base and can be used slim.
The open stairs we filled with concrete, it gives a tough result. The cable network finished the sides of the stairs, it gives a nice transmittance of light.
Millimeter by millimeter, we maneuvered the stairs through the emergency exit to put in place.
