Red & Black

This modern staircase in Amsterdam lifts design literally to another level. With three platforms, steel balusters, handrails and steps in two different colors, this is a unique piece of art.

The top side of the steps is stained in black and the bottom side is lacquered bright red. Therefore the nickname of the stairs is ‘Louboutin’, after the famous designer pump.

The original steps are mounted in between the steel stringers without any visible connections.
