Concrete Base

A robust, solid staircase with a Gugenheim style. This requires freedom of form. Our new LID construction method fitted in beautifully with this wish.

These spiral staircases are constructed in a very special way. The basic stairs are made of concrete. We then made the plastered inner tree against it with the LID. This inner tree, the underside of the stairs and the balustrades were then plastered and painted very tightly. This creates 1 whole with a great line play as a result.

Finally, the steps and risers are mounted on the concrete and the steel wall railings are attached.
